Our Story
At Zenar International Education, our story began over a decade ago, when our founder Zoe was still in school. Despite loving to learn and excelling in her studies, she often found that she was limited by the pace of the classes. However, while she thought that the teacher was going too slowly, other students in her class struggled to keep up.
Recognising the gaps in the education system and driven by a desire to improve the learning experiences of all students, Zoe began tutoring privately in her spare time. Over the past ten years, she has been tirelessly dedicating herself to teaching hundreds of students and researching and testing the most effective teaching methods to suit students’ different needs.
Meanwhile, as Zoe’s teaching career began taking off, she also started offering essay correction services, finding that almost all of the students who came to her wanted help with their university application essays. Initially, Zoe focused on editing for grammar, punctuation, logic, flow, and structure. However, she soon realised that while the language of her corrected essays were flawless, they did not truly showcase the unique qualities and potential of each student.
To offer the best support to her students and increase their chances of admission success, Zoe delved into researching how to write the best essays for different university application requirements, gaining expertise in writing compelling essays that help students stand out and leave a lasting impression.
However, a new troubling trend emerged: many students who got offers into prestigious universities were unable to attend because they did not meet the English language requirements or have the required psychometric test scores.
Even for those who made it through, they often struggled due to insufficient language proficiency. These highly intelligent minds were frequently misunderstood, subtly discriminated against, or looked down upon simply because they could not communicate or understand the language as well as their peers.
Determined to bridge this gap and support her students, Zoe launched Zenar International Education, leveraging her years of teaching experience and insights to create a platform to help support students in their tertiary education endeavours.
Our Solution
At Zenar International Education, we recognise the limitations of the traditional education model, with them being:

On the other hand, purely self-directed courses, while allowing self-paced learning, lack the necessary support, guidance, and immersion that are critical for language and knowledge acquisition.
We have also realised the significant gap in the quality of English tutoring available. Many tutors, for whom English is a second language, often lack complete comprehension and proficiency, inadvertently passing on errors and misunderstandings to their students.
Meanwhile, many native speaker teachers lack the experience of learning a second language and do not fully understand the struggles involved. This leads to limited progress for students and a lack of genuine, effective support.
Our targeted courses are designed to address these limitations, combining the flexibility of self-paced learning with the personalised support of experienced, native English educators.
